    As a third-generation farmer in the Goondiwindi district Tom Woods has seen a lot of change, particularly as the region diversified from sheep and cattle into cropping. When his father bought the home property, ‘Billa Billa’, in 1938 it was a strictly pastoral enterprise. The family, along with many in the district, only started cropping in the mid-1950s. In the 1980s Tom was among the first to move into no-till.
