Grain growers reminded to be ready for rust this spring (South, 26 August 2010)

Grain growers throughout the southern region are reminded of the need to closely monitor crops for cereal rusts and to consider fungicide applications in the early phases of disease occurrence. Decisions on foliar disease control taken now will position crops to take advantage of the anticipated above average seasonal conditions in spring.

Focus on water, cotton and locusts at Griffith grains event (South, 28 July 2010)

Wheat classification arrangements extended (National, 19 July 2010)

Australia’s wheat classification system will continue under the current arrangements until 31 December 2010.
The GRDC has agreed to the extension of the current wheat classification arrangements until the end of the year to ensure the continued provision of these services to the Australian grains industry while a long term structure is established. -
