    The Workboot Series books take an educational and entertaining look at modern Australian farming. For the first time, farming is explained so people of all ages and walks of life can discover where our food and clothing comes from and why agriculture is so important to our daily lives.

  • Growing Knowledge - Food, Fibre and Farming in Western Australia

    The Department of Agriculture's education program aims to promote awareness of the importance of agriculture to the Western Australian economy and to help teachers to use farming, food production and related topics as 'contexts' for student learning.

    The program focuses on support for teachers in the form of advice, teachers' notes resources and links with useful organisations.

    This website also contains teacher resources, information on all the major farming commodities in Western Australia, case studies that can be used by teachers and students as well as a range of links to other 'useful' websites and information on careers in agriculture.

  • BRI Research Horizons Course

    "The Research Horizons course is very popular amongst our nation's grain growers. Leading farmers from around the country are nominated by their peers to the Grains Research Development Corporation, the major stakeholder".

    This course provides an overall understanding of what happens to the grains produced and the part that research plays towards that understanding. The course is organised by BRI Research on behalf of the Grains Research & Development Corporation and covers such topics as crop improvement, marketing, grain quality testing, grain food products, research and development issues, commercialisation and international collaboration.
